You are only a 5 minute drive from the town of Matha with shops, restaurants and outside swimming pool. 

Why not explore the pretty villages and market towns; go fishing, riding, cycling, birdwatching, golfing; visit chateaux’s and Romanesque churches; explore Cognac, Saintes, Bordeaux, enjoy the many beaches in Royan, La Rochelle, La Palmyre or take a cruise on the Charente. 

There is plenty for the children, a 10 minute drive will take you to Thors, where there is a large man made lake with swimming and ‘beach’.  Take them to Futuroscope theme park – the European park of the moving image.  La Palmyre Zoo, near Royan, home to one of the best zoo’s in Europe.  Let them discover the world of underwater flora and fauna in the Aquarium at La Rochelle.
